Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is an British and American sitar player. She also performs music. She was the first and first woman to receive the British House of Commons Shield she's received nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian of Indian descent to perform live and to act as a host at the awards ceremony. Anoushka shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was born in London in 1982. In during her early years, she swam in London New Delhi. When she was 13 she performed her debut performance at New Delhi. In 1999, she completed her high schooling at Encinitas CA. Anouskha even though she is just 17 years old, has had an extremely successful recording and performing career. She performs regularly together with her dad, and has performed with him for many years. Her debut self-titled album Anourag in the year 1998. The Grammy Award-winning Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. Stage performances are a large part of her career. She has performed in a variety of major venues all over the world. The career of Anoushka doesn't only comprise the world of music. Bapi The Love of My Life is a illustrated biographical work she wrote in 2002. It pays special tributes to her late father Ravi Shankar.
